I Tried to Find the Context…

But Bill Schmalfeldt had erased his blog, gotten kicked off twitter, lost the right to post on most every forum on the internet and deleted more pixels that John Hoge has ever purchased (and he buys ’em by the terrabyte.)

Sometimes context matters a lot.   My question is, does context matter much if someone promises real life consequences for internet speech, and hints strongly unsavory characters have been contacted?

Some folks might take that as a physical threat — even though Bill Schmalfeldt is infirm, unable to travel and generally safe.

Now, I don’t really know which dead family members were being attacked, but I suspect it was all related to certain characters who have made crude assertions about the late Gail Schmalfeldt.  I wished they’d never started all that, but what’s done is done.

While we’re talking context, you might remember that Bill Schmalfeldt also involved family members of Lickspittles in his machinations.  Printing a picture of a minor child and intimating that the child was abused.  Terrorizing a couple over their stillborn child, even asking to be put in contact with the doctors involved.  The latest trouble involved a child shown in a photograph of a Lickspittle/Zombie.  He could have been classy enough to edit the child out, or he could have left the child’s mother out of it.  He was mad at the grandmother, so the whole family gets the treatment.

The context for all of the Lickspittles is that Bill Schmalfeldt wants you to fear that he might get hands on your child’s photo.  He has a long history of making empty threats, but we’ll take all of it seriously.
