One of the most popular liberal tactics is to try to demonize individuals to take them out of public life. I’m told Saul Alinsky identified this as a powerful tool.

If you or a group you associate with is deemed evil, hateful or alt-right, you’re out. Not welcome in pleasant company. People are free to scoff at you in public, sneer if necessary, and make sure you never can help a charity.

It’s so powerful, because once the dirt gets thrown, it’s hard to clean up. This mirrors the Hollywood blacklist in that the truth barely matters.Rules for Radicals.png

NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Former Republican presidential candidate Mike Huckabee has resigned from the board for the Country Music Association Foundation.

Mr. Huckabee’s election to the board had been swiftly criticized in the music community.

On Wednesday, Mr. Huckabee was announced as a new member of board of the directors for the charitable arm of the association that runs the annual CMA Awards and the CMA Festival.

Within 24 hours, a prominent artist manager sent a letter to the foundation calling Huckabee’s election “grossly offensive” due to his political opinions and associations with the National Rifle Association.

Jason Owen, who leads Sandbox Management representing artists like Little Big Town, Faith Hill and Kacey Musgraves, said in the letter that his clients would no longer support the foundation.

His “associations” with the National Rifle Associations?

Mike Huckabee is too offensive to associate with a CMA charity? His political opinions are so bad that he should be prevented from helping the charitable end of the association?

Good people are being driven from the public square. This is not good.

If you look closely, you’ll see why he is so unacceptable. He thinks that the Bible and his faith should guide his public decision-making. (So do I.)

Seriously, you earn your living in country music and take a stand against the NRA? May as well have denounced NASCAR while they were at it.
