Hillary Clinton kept her government and personal email on a private server in her home. The State Department gave favors to Clinton Global Initiative and Clinton Foundation donors.

Lois Lerner used her IRS government position to slow the approval of IRS tax exemptions of conservative groups.

There are dozens of other examples, from all sides of the political spectrum.  You don’t have to be a Democrat to get away with stuff, but over the last 8 years, it has helped.

The final scenes of Star Trek “The Omega Glory” is unintentionally funny for having Kirk discover that a far distant planet has as one of its governing documents the United States’ Constitution.  The primitive people there been mispronouncing the words, so they don’t know what they mean..

Kirk straightens them out.

Gene Roddenberry wrote the episode.  The laws need to apply to everyone, or they mean nothing opines Kirk, who isn’t supposed to meddle in alien cultures, but he’s Kirk.

 


We have been slurred the words of our American vocabulary for so long that we’ve forgotten their meaning.  Well, some people have forgotten them.

In more normal times, the Republicans could run a game show host against Hillary Clinton and win.




 

“We the People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America.”

Justice first.  Domestic tranquility is second. If we can’t have both, what do we do?
