Well, I was going to take this opportunity to rant about the 9th circuit’s inevitable abuse of the second amendment; then some ISIS asshole decides to upstage them. — Gus
ISIS are sub-humans twisting a tenuously reputable religion into a disgusting pagan death cult.
Their depraved and warped version of Sharia results in nothing better than hooliganism and true rape culture. That said, I’m not here to rail against the cavemen; they are going to be what they are until they grow up or we blow them up.
My beef, and this is where is gets edgy; is either with the President et al or with the LGBTQ community and more significantly their “spokespersons”. You see, one of the key concepts of the United States, is that all are equal under the law. And as far as the Constitution is concerned, the LAW is embodied in the Executive branch, specifically in the person of the President.
And when the President will only deign to call terrorism by it’s true name when one of the “protected” classes are targeted; then I have to wonder whether we live under the 14th amendment or under the whim of one man.
Alternatively, exactly why, should the average American be offended if the LGBTQ community decides that they are extra special for being attacked.
Was America attacked or the LGBTQ community? Should they be allowed to beat their chests and pull their hair anymore than the rest of the nation at this affront?
Was this a specific attack against them, or against the American principle of tolerance and inclusion? — Gus Bailey
Almighty God, who hast given us this good land for our heritage: We humbly beseech thee that we may always prove ourselves a people mindful of thy favor and glad to do thy will.
Bless our land with honorable industry, sound learning, and pure manners. Save us from violence, discord, and confusion; from pride and arrogance, and from every evil way. Defend our liberties, and fashion into one united people the multitudes
brought hither out of many kindreds and tongues.
Endue with the spirit of wisdom those to whom in thy Name we entrust the authority of government, that there may be justice and peace at home, and that, through obedience to thy law, we may show forth thy praise among the nations of the earth. In the time of prosperity, fill our hearts with thankfulness, and in the day of trouble, suffer not our trust in thee to fail; all which we ask through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen
